Data sources and freshness
A high-level inventory of the information categories used by SkyWatch and the limits that accompany them.

Core aircraft coverage combines cooperative ADS-B and related public receivers with licensed enhanced regional coverage for eligible accounts. Military and government labels are classification aids based on identifiers, registrations, operators, types, and public reference data; they are not official status declarations.
AIS vessel observations can disappear when a transmitter is off, reception is poor, or data is delayed. Ownership, cargo, destination, and voyage fields may be absent or supplied by third-party vessel records.
Public warning systems
Emergency warnings are collected only from configured official or clearly identified public distribution channels. Israel Home Front Command events are shown separately from international warning feeds, while preserving source country, category, time, and current-versus-recent state.
SkyWatch does not manufacture an alert when a country has no usable live public feed. A monitor health indicator describes source reachability; it does not prove that no warning exists elsewhere.
Earth and space observations
Thermal data uses satellite fire-detection products, weather layers use meteorological tiles, earthquakes use public seismic catalogues, and satellite tracks are calculated from published orbital elements. Each product has its own delay, resolution, and confidence limits.
Map backgrounds and place labels are contextual cartography. A visible border or label does not express a legal position, recognition decision, or operational assessment by SkyWatch.
Commercial confidentiality
Some licensed providers prohibit redistributing credentials, raw responses, or detailed commercial integration information. SkyWatch identifies these in the product by function, such as enhanced Middle East coverage, while keeping provider secrets and restricted implementation details on the server.
